The Organic Art Factory supports The Cover Artists – a research-based performance entity that recreates pioneering artworks from the last half of the 20th century. These works are carefully selected based on aesthetic appeal and conceptual integrity, as well as their ongoing influence on contemporary art.
We research and perform works that utilize our relationship; performances that incorporated two bodies and that are concerned with the nature, energy and dynamics of relationship.
Performance art is live, experiential, ephemeral, and often site- and/or occasion-specific. Thus, these works have rarely been seen by more than a handful of individuals. Our embodiment is meant to pay homage to some of the most important artists of the past 50 years, while actively investigating a number of questions about the place of performance art within the established patterns of art exhibition, collection, and display.
